Ninth Annual Autumn
Open-Barn-Doors
Saturday, October 16th,
2010.
To celebrate the glorious time of
year that is Autumn in the Appalachian foothills of Ohio, I am
opening the barn doors of
Ulla Barn to one and all
. Formal invitations will not be
distributed, but all those that can maintain polite decorum or
some semblance of good public conduct will be welcome.
Food and drink will start at
one; music and dancing will start at
seven.
Contributions of food, drink, labor,
activities, and/or money will not be expected nor
essential for attendance, but they will be highly appreciated;
bring whatever the spirit moves you, including
friends.
John Fridy and His Band, our customary and highly regarded source of music
will be playing for your listening and dancing pleasure.
The
Spicewood Kitchen, with 6-burner stove and oven,
plus two gas grills, a smoker, and an open fire, are available to
those that would like to demonstrate their culinary skills.
But please inform me ahead of time, in order to avoid a conflict of
schedules.
The party will be held rain or shine,
so dress accordingly. But the barn is heated against truly
inclimate weather.
Sporting event possibilities: Corn
hole; darts; horseshoes; pool table; volley ball.
Please: For the safety and comfort of
all, no dogs, and, please, no kids after seven.
Location is 51211 Boston Hill Road,
Sardis, Ohio (2 miles west of Hannibal on Boston Hill Road).
